YOU inspire me.
FIRST HAND WOMAN audiences have so much WOW factor that they have completely floored me with their enthusiasm, their amazing energy and their willingness to laugh and cry with us!
Our Toronto debut was extraordinary. We were sold out by day two and — let me just say again, in case I was too vague above:
FIRST HAND WOMAN audiences are THE BEST audiences in the WORLD!
A huge thank you again to everyone who came out and laughed and cried along with the cast. Another huge thank you to everyone who reached out to me to tell me about the transformations that happened in their lives as a consequence of seeing FIRST HAND WOMAN! Amazing!
That is the biggest gift I could possibly ask for!
Back in 2004, when the idea first hit me for a five-woman play about the stages of loss, it was a distant longing; a dream that I could one day be able to move people so wonderfully. Thank you!
Your work moved me deeply, and frankly, left me feeling a lot less alone.”
– Jeff, Toronto audience member
FIRST HAND WOMAN’s Toronto debut really was an astonishing time from start to finish. Audiences reached out to me in so many positive ways.
Most notably were two special women: One quit her job after seeing the play, realizing that she wasn’t following her passion. The other amazing woman decided that night to start writing a book that she’d been putting off.
Yes, to say the least, this has been a magical time!
Okay, now it’s time to crash big time. For those of you who remember my Exhaustion Monster blog, you’ll remember that I have been, ahem, overextending my energy, to say the least. Lol. Well, the morning after closing night, I lost my voice and caught some crazy cold/flu combo. So now it’s self-care time.
So whether you were able to catch our Toronto debut or not, thank you so much for being here now!
Now, before I grab some more kleenex and lozenges, I want you to do something for me. I want you to pat yourself on the back for all of your accomplishments, big and small, they all count. Also, don’t wait for FIRST HAND WOMAN to show in your town to make a powerful move in your life. Do it now. Okay? Okay. 🙂
Be sure to leave comments here and let me know one great thing about someone you love. It could be your mom, dad, best friend, husband, dog… Totally up to you. Xoxoxo
And as always,
Dream up,
